What people say about Rachel Cross
ENGLISH TESTIMONIAL
‘l cannot thank Rachel enough for all her hard work and dedication. My son is dyslexic and has always struggled with his reading and written English. To say English was his least favourite subject is an understatement. I contacted Rachel in order to get my son past the post with regards to his GCSE exam. After two years of hard work from both parties my son’s predicted English grades improved from a Grade 4 to a Grade 7.
I have a son who will now sit and read a book to relax (I honestly never thought I would see the day), he is also considering university, something he had completely dismissed because he thought he was 'not clever enough'. The confidence my son now has with all aspects of his English is immeasurable.
Rachel is truly an inspirational teacher. And because of Rachel, my son now believes in himself, he realises he isn't ‘stupid’ because he struggled so much with his English at school. He just wasn't taught appropriately, in school, for his dyslexic brain.
As Albert Einstein said: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
Rachel is one of those rare teachers that can connect with a child and give them confidence and passion for a subject. I would highly recommend Rachel to any parent.'
TT, mother of English GCSE student.

MUSIC TESTIMONIAL
'Rachel is a very bubbly and encouraging teacher. She's very flexible and follows the pupil's needs. She's easygoing and has a unique way of building a good rapport with both pupils and their parents. I love Rachel's wicked sense of humour (she wears Santa slippers in May!). If you want your child to truly enjoy and appreciate the beauty of music I'd recommend Rachel as a teacher.'
KR, mother of piano student.

ENGLISH TESTIMONIAL
‘Rachel has taught both of my children leading up to their English GCSE and A Level exams. She has helped to increase their confidence and provided them with strategies and techniques to use when tackling exam questions. Both boys enjoyed her sessions due to her lovely nature, enthusiasm, and wealth of knowledge. I would recommend Rachel and will certainly be calling on her again when my daughter starts her GCSE English.’
LW, mother of English GCSE and A level students.

MUSIC TESTIMONIAL
'Rachel is an amazing piano teacher, she helps me a lot and I have improved immensely. She encourages me to do my best without any pressure. She has a very bubbly personality. She makes piano lessons very fun for me and I would definitely recommend her as a piano teacher.'
HR, piano student.

ENGLISH TESTIMONIAL
‘Both our children have used Rachel's tutoring to prepare for GCSEs. We could not have wished for anyone better. Rachel is the most kind, caring, and excellent tutor. She works wonders in gaining confidence and making sessions fun. Our children did not want the sessions to end.’
KH, mother of English GCSE students.

MUSIC TESTIMONIAL
'My son and I would highly recommend Rachel, we really can’t sing her praises highly enough!
Rachel is everything you would ask for in a music teacher, kind, patient, fun and extremely knowledgeable.
Rachel has been teaching my son viola for a few years now, he enjoys his lessons and his playing has really progressed. He recently needed support with a musicianship exam, which follows the Kodaly and Solfa singing method. Rachel had little previous experience in this method but was willing, and brilliantly able, to learn it to help my son to success. She is wonderful.'
RN, mother of online music student.

ENGLISH TESTIMONIAL
'An excellent tutor, she had a good rapport with my son and has built up his confidence greatly. Would gladly recommend Rachel.'
JC, mother of home-schooled GCSE student (taught online).
